Harden Trade Analysis

From a fantasy standpoint, this is not the most interesting trade in the world. It boosts some players and hurts others, but there are no clear 12-team pickups. Harden leaving the Sixers should turn Tyrese Maxey into at least a top-30 option. With no high-usage players coming back to Philadelphia, 25+ PPG, 3.0+ 3PG, and 5.0+ APG is a very reasonable expectation for the Sixers’ new lead guard. He is looking like a potential league-winner. The trade also boosts the value of De’Anthony Melton. He’s not going to be picking up a ton of usage, but his minutes should now stick in the 29 MPG range. That’s enough to turn the combo guard into a mid-round player. He is a must-roster in all category leagues.
