Elite Fantasy Basketball’s new DRAFT TRACKER is almost here! It is in the final stages of testing and will be released at some point over the next two weeks. The tool can connect to leagues on Yahoo, ESPN, and Fantrax. The settings for your leagues on any of those host sites do not matter. It supports snake and auction leagues, both private and public. The tool is also adjustable for non-standard scoring settings. It also supports mocks on both Yahoo and ESPN.

Here are some screenshots of the tool. I have tried to make it as user-friendly as possible and have it function similarly to the other tools on the site. Here are some screenshots of the tool being used during a Yahoo mock draft.

The process for connecting to each host site will differ slightly. Fantrax users only need their LeagueId, which is easily findable in the draft room’s URL (more detailed instructions will be available when the tool launches). ESPN users will need to download Elite Fantasy Basketball’s Google Chrome Extension, which subscribers will be provided a link to. Once the extension has been downloaded and turned on, users will only need to enter their league ID. For now, Yahoo users will also be required to download the Chrome Extension. However, that will change at some point over the next few weeks. The Chrome Extension will still work, but there will also be an option to connect by logging into Yahoo. Early in the summer, Yahoo forced all previous users of their API to reapply for access, so the direct Yahoo link that the site had used in the past was shut down. I have reapplied for access, and once that access is granted, the tool will be updated for the more direct method of connecting to Yahoo.

Once the Draft Tracker is released, all the other tools that require access to a league’s roster will be updated to include the option to link the tool directly to the host site. That includes the site’s revamped Matchup Analyzer, which will be made available later in draft season. In prior years, Yahoo users could upload their matchups directly to the Matchup Analyzer, but ESPN and Fantrax users needed to manually upload their matchups. This season, users of all three sites will only need to press one button to import their matchups.
