Note: Monthly access to Elite Fantasy Basketball’s projections, tools, and articles will be made available at the beginning of Week 2. The subscription will cost just $2.50 per month and will give you access to everything but the draft season content.

Streaming in Week 2 makes more sense than streaming in Week 1, but we still want to avoid dedicating all of our moves to picking up extra games. While there won’t be as many hot free-agent pickups popping up in Week 2 as in Week 1, there will still be some. Picking up a potential top-100 player is worth more than picking up an extra point. The one exception to that rule is if you got hammered in Week 1 and are on pace to get hammered in Week 2. Being at the bottom of the standings through two weeks isn’t a death sentence, but it is something we want to avoid. A very poor start to the season will limit your flexibility later in the year, as you’ll have to dedicate most of your moves to streaming instead of chasing high-upside long-term plays. This week should give you a better idea of where your team stands. I would not read too much into your Week 1 result. Week 1 is a low-volume week, and outlier performances in the right or wrong direction can make your team look a lot stronger or weaker than it actually is.
