Moussa Diabate (Pick Up): If Diabate was dropped after the back-to-back quiet nights, pick him up. It won’t always be the case, but most nights he will get the majority of the Hornets’ center minutes. He should hit the 30-minute mark more often this year. Last season, he hit the 34-minute mark just a handful of times. He’s already hit that mark twice this season. Diabate should be a mid-round player in friendly builds this year. He is currently averaging 9.3 PPG on 68.2 FG%, 9.5 RPG, 2.3 APG, 2.3 SPG, and 1.0 BPG. The steals are not real, but everything else in that line should come close to sticking.

Dennis Schroder (Pick Up): A tough night at the office for Schroder, but as long as he’s playing minutes in the 30s, he should be rostered. In his current role, his ceiling in points and assists is much higher than your typical waiver-wire guard option. The German has had two good games and two poor games and is currently averaging 14.0 PPG on 39.2 FG%, 0.8 3PG, 4.0 RPG, 4.5 APG, 0.3 SPG, and 2.8 TOPG. He will be just a 16-team league option once the Hornets get healthy.

Grayson Allen (Pick Up): Allen is a must-roster in all category leagues and should continue to be a 12-team player once the Hornets get Coby White and Kon Knueppel back. As long as he’s playing minutes in the high-20s, Allen can be a borderline top-80 nine-category asset. That is what he was in his final season in Phoenix in just 28.8 MPG. Through his first four games in a Hornets jersey, the shooting guard is averaging 16.8 PPG on 48.6 FG%, 3.5 3PG, 2.5 RPG, 3.3 APG, and 0.3 SPG while being a strong source of FT% impact (94.4 FT% on 4.5 FTA). In points leagues, where his threes and FT% matter less, he will be just a 14-team league option this year.
