23/24 Jan. 23 Box Score Analysis (5 Games)

Pacers Role Players: The Pacers’ rotation beyond Haliburton, Siakam, and Turner looks like it could be a headache. Buddy got big minutes in the first two games after the trade but barely played in the second half last night. Nesmith got heavy run here but his minutes were in the mid-to-high-20s against the Blazers and Suns. Both are holds for now, but we might not get the bump that we were hoping for. The rest of the rotation looks safe to ignore in 12-team leagues. Once Haliburton is back, both Nembhard and McConnell will turn into forgettable streamers. Mathurin has had some decent stretches this year, but since his line is such a poor fit for category leagues, it’s hard to justify a hold outside of 16-team setups. The Canadian has only been a top-250 player over the last month. Toppin is only going to get the no-Siakam minutes, so his deep league appeal is very limited. Jalen Smith is a drop in all leagues because he’s now stuck battling Isaiah Jackson for the backup center minutes.
