25/26 Week 24 Schedule Analysis and Streaming Guide

In both Roto and H2H leagues, the final week of the season is all about predicting sits and reacting appropriately to them. If you play in a Roto league that is coming down to the wire or are crazy enough to play in a H2H league that plays to the buzzer, then the best advice I can give you is to pay as much attention to your teams and the league in general as possible. I know we are all fantasy’d out at this point, but any manager who is not locked in this week is going to end up with a team that underachieves.

It’s also very important not to get too attached to your players and to be realistic about their rest-of-season prospects. It’s safe to assume that any high-level rotation player on a non-playoff team who has missed his last couple of games is done for the year. Players like Bobby Portis and Ty Jerome haven’t been officially ruled out, but they are very unlikely to suit up, and if they do, their reappearance will be brief.

Schedule Analysis

Four-game teams: ATL, BOS, BKN, CHI, CLE, DAL, DEB, DET, GSW, HOU, IND, LAC, LAL, MEM, MIA, MIL, MIN, NYK, OKC, ORL, PHI, PHO, POR, SAS, TOR, WAS

Three-game teams: CHA, NOR, SAC, UTA

This is not a good week to have players with three-game schedules. The entire league plays on both Friday and Sunday, which means that low-end options on the three-game teams will start just once for your squad. The unfortunate but very predictable schedule makes it essential that you swap out your three-game players either at the end of Week 23 or at the beginning of Week 24. Don’t be afraid to use all of your moves early next week. The schedule necessitates that strategy. It will only be possible to pick up extra games over the first four days of the week. Some teams may have even less flexibility. It will be possible to have a full roster on Tuesday, as well. This is not a unique schedule. This is what the final-week schedule looks like every year. If your H2H league plays until the buzzer, change that. Sits will always be a massive issue at this point in the season and the schedule will always be very difficult to work around.
All of the four-game teams play on the two 15-game days, so there is no team with a clear scheduling advantage. Which four-game teams to go after will come down to how busy your squad is on Tuesday. If you have a full schedule on Tuesday, then you’ll have to plan your streaming strategy around that day.
All 30 teams begin their week on either Monday or Tuesday.
There are back-to-back sets starting on Tuesday and Thursday.
- The Suns, Clippers, Wolves, Thunder, Bucks, and Mavericks begin a back-to-back set on Tuesday.
- The Wizards, Nets, Bulls, Heat, Warriors, Pacers, Celtics, Raptors, Sixers, Rockets, Lakers, and Knicks begin a back-to-back set on Thursday.
There are three-games-in-four-nights stretches beginning on Tuesday and Thursday.
- The Wizards, Bulls, Nets, Warriors, Heat, Clippers, Bucks, Raptors, Thunder, Celtics, Pacers, Suns, Wolves, Mavericks, Rockets, and Lakers start a three-games-in-four-nights stretch on Tuesday.
- The Wizards, Bulls, Heat, Lakers, Nets, Sixers, Warriors, Rockets, Raptors, Celtics, Pacers, and Knicks start a three-games-in-four-nights stretch on Thursday.
When making your pickups this week, it will be extremely important to consider whether or not a team has something to play for and whether or not a team is trying to win. There will be plenty of surprise sits this week, and it won’t be just stars resting. Teams with meaningless games will rest some of their role players as well, especially if that role player is older.
- Teams that will be trying to win for most or all of the week: Knicks, Cavaliers, Hawks, Sixers, Raptors, Hornets, Magic, Heat, Lakers, Nuggets, Rockets, Suns, Blazers, Clippers
- Teams that will have nothing to play for or will be trying to lose for most or all of the week: Thunder/Spurs (OKC should clinch the one-seed mid-week), Warriors, Grizzlies, Pelicans, Mavericks, Jazz, Kings, Pistons, Celtics, Bucks, Bulls, Pacers, Nets, Wizards
If you play in a Roto league, remember that you can go over the games limit for positions with multiple roster spots. To do this, you need to be at 81 games played at the position going into a day. If you then start two players at the position on the same day, both games will count. In your typical Yahoo league, you should be able to do this for your center and utility spots.
