24/25 Week 23 Schedule Analysis and Streaming Guide

In both Roto and H2H leagues, the final week of the season is all about predicting sits and reacting appropriately to them. If you play in a Roto league that is coming down to the wire or are crazy enough to play in a H2H league that plays to the buzzer, then the best advice I can give you is to pay as much attention to your teams, and the league in general, as possible. I know we are all fantasy’d out at this point, but any manager that is not locked in this week is going to end up with a team that underachieves.

It’s also very important to not get too attached to your players and to be realistic about their rest-of-season prospects. It’s safe to assume that any high-level rotation player on a non-playoff who has missed his last couple of games is done for the year. Players like Lauri Markkanen and Jerami Grant haven’t been officially ruled out, but they have about as much of a shot at playing in another NBA game this season as you and I do. I would also expect the lottery-bound squads to get more aggressive with their sits this week. I would not bank on having players like Scottie Barnes or Devin Vassell for all of Week 23, even though up to this point, they haven’t been rested.

Schedule Analysis

Four-game teams: ATL, BOS, BKN, CHA, CHI, CLE, DET, GSW, IND, LAC, LAL, MEM, MIA, MIL, MIN, NOR, NYK, OKC, ORL, PHI, PHO, SAC, SAS, WAS

Three-game teams: DAL, DEN, HOU, POR, TOR, UTA

This is not a good week to have players with three-game schedules. The entire league plays on both Friday and Sunday which means that low-end options on the three-game teams will start just once for your squad. The unfortunate but very predictable schedule makes it essential that you swap out your three-game players either at the end of Week 22 or at the beginning of Week 23. Don’t be afraid to use all of your moves early next week. The schedule necessitates that strategy. It will only be possible to pick up extra games over the first four days of the week. Some teams may have even less flexibility. It will be possible to have a full roster on Tuesday and/or Wednesday as well. This is not a unique schedule. This is what the final-week schedule looks like every year. If your H2H league plays until the buzzer, change that. Sits will always be a massive issue at this point in the season and the schedule will always be very difficult to work around.
All of the four-game teams play on the two 15-game days, so there is no team with a clear scheduling advantage. Which four-game teams to go after will come down to how busy your squad is on Tuesday and Wednesday. If you have a full schedule on one of those days, then you’ll have to plan your streaming strategy around that day.
All of the teams with three games do not start their Week 23 schedule until Wednesday.
All of the four-game teams begin their week on either Monday or Tuesday.
There are back-to-back sets starting on Tuesday and Thursday.
- On Tuesday, the Warriors, Hornets, Wizards, Thunder, Clippers, Magic, Bulls, Spurs, Lakers, Suns, and Celtics begin back-to-back sets.
- On Thursday, the Bucks, Hawks, Wolves, Nets, Pelicans, Grizzlies, Knicks, Pistons, and Cavaliers begin back-to-back sets.
There are three-games-in-four-nights stretches beginning on Tuesday and Thursday.
- On Tuesday, the Thunder, Warriors, Wizards, Bulls, Nets, Wolves, Grizzlies, Cavaliers, Bucks, Clippers, Pelicans, Pacers, Hornets, Spurs, Magic, Suns, Hawks, Celtics, Knicks, and Lakers begin a stretch of three games in four nights.
- On Thursday, the Bucks, Wolves, Grizzlies, Knicks, Pistons, Nets, Hawks, Cavaliers, Pelicans, and Pacers begin a stretch of three games in four nights.
If you play in a Roto league, remember that you can go over the games limit for positions with multiple roster spots. To do this, you need to be at 81 games played at the position going into a day. If you then start two players at the position on the same day, both games will count. In your typical Yahoo league, you should be able to do this for your center and utility spots.
