24/25 Week 14 Schedule Analysis and Streaming Guide
We are officially in the stretch run of the fantasy regular season. In most leagues, the regular season ends in four to six weeks. If you are a borderline playoff team, you need to treat every week left in the regular season like a playoff week. Use all your moves and don’t be afraid to drop the third- or fourth-worst player on your squad if it means picking up a couple of extra points. Also, forget about the trade deadline. We will cover deadline stashes in next weekend’s pickup list, but if you are not a playoff team, you should ignore the stash options and focus on streaming. As of now, there doesn’t look to be too many high-upside stashes this year that have a good shot at hitting. You are probably not going to be missing out on too many interesting options by not stashing. Most of the bench players who could be difference-makers later in the year will step into a larger role through late-season shutdowns.
Schedule Analysis
- Week 14 comes with a packed schedule. A whopping 18 teams play four games next week. That is a very high number. There are also 12-game and 11-game days where overload could be an issue. This is another week where you will want to load your matchup into the Matchup Tool. Depending on how your squad’s games are spread out, your schedule may not be quite as strong or as poor as it appears at first glance. Teams that are heavy on members of the Thunder and Pacers are very likely to have a bad time next week. Two-game weeks always hurt, but they are especially painful during weeks where almost two-thirds of the league will play four times. With so many teams playing four times, the only must-start in 12-team weekly leagues on either team is Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Tyrese Haliburton and Jalen Williams will be low-end options next week on a totals basis unless they go off in both of their games. In daily leagues, none of the low-end Pacers and Thunder are must-holds. If you are rolling, I would try to hold Cason Wallace, however. He’s been playing at a top-100 level for a while now and OKC has a very strong schedule after next week. From Week 15 to Week 19, the Thunder have one five-game week (during the All-Star break double-week) and four-game weeks every other week. Lu Dort, Obi Toppin, Andrew Nembhard, and Bennedict Mathurin are all drops due to next week’s brutal schedule.
- The usefulness of each four-game schedule depends on whether or not a team plays on both of the two busy days. All teams with four games play on at least one of the two 11+ game days. The four-game teams that have just one game scheduled on either Monday or Wednesday are the Hawks, Rockets, Lakers, Bucks, Sixers, and Jazz. Their low-end options should be more useful than the low-end options on the teams that play on both busy days.
- The Blazers only play three times next week, but their low-end options should still be considered top streaming targets because they are the only 3+ game team that does not play on either Monday or Wednesday. Toumani Camara has been playing at a top-100 rate for a while now and is a must-add in standard leagues next week. Scoot Henderson comes with a very low floor on nights when the Blazers’ starting backcourt and wings are active, but anytime one of the perimeter starters sits, he’ll play big minutes and be a very strong source of points and assists. It will be a very bumpy ride, but Henderson should be rostered for now. The strong schedule should make him at least somewhat useful next week. Donovan Clingan is back and will be a nice short-term play if Deandre Ayton continues to sit. We are still likely at least a month away from Clingan being unleashed, so be careful who you drop for him. Robert Williams will be a high-upside streamer as well as long as Ayton continues to be sidelined. Dalano Banton isn’t playing a ton, but he is a viable option in deep leagues due to his strong per-minute production in the counting categories and the schedule.
- There are back-to-back sets starting every day of the week except for Thursday and Saturday.
- The Bucks, Lakers, Rockets, Jazz, and Hawks begin a back-to-back set on Monday
- The Sixers and Warriors begin a back-to-back set on Tuesday
- The Wolves, Cavaliers, and Wizards begin a back-to-back set on Wednesday
- The Suns, Nuggets, Spurs, and Hornets begin a back-to-back set on Friday
- The Pistons, Grizzlies, and Bucks begin a back-to-back set on Sunday
- There are three-games-in-four-night stretches beginning on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
- The Wolves, Lakers, Cavaliers, Wizards, Rockets, Jazz, and Hawks start a three-games-in-four-nights stretch on Monday
- The Sixers and Warriors start a three-games-in-four-nights stretch on Tuesday
- The Wolves, Suns, Nuggets, Hornets, Wizards, and Spurs start a three-games-in-four-nights stretch on Wednesday
- The breaks in the schedule we should be aware of this week are as follows:
- The Pacers, Spurs, and Thunder do not begin their Week 14 schedules until Wednesday. Dropping their low-end options on Sunday of Week 13 for members of the Bucks, Lakers, Rockets, Jazz, or Hawks will allow you to pick up two Week 14 games without using a Week 14 move.
- The Magic and Grizzlies do not play on Tuesday or Wednesday
- The Bucks do not play on Wednesday or Thursday
- The Knicks, Thunder, Pacers, Kings, Nets, and Heat do not play on Thursday or Friday
- The Cavaliers and Grizzlies do not play on Friday or Saturday
- The Warriors and Pelicans do not play on Saturday or Sunday
- The Wolves have Week 14’s easiest four-game schedule. All four of their games come against teams that have been cake matchups for fantasy purposes this year. Jaden McDaniels has been excellent as of late and should be rostered in 12-team leagues. Mike Conley has been mediocre but is worth gambling on due to the soft schedule and the return to the starting lineup. The Bucks, Raptors, and Mavericks also have very favorable schedules.
