24/25 Best Ball Projections (New Feature)
The below projections set is for Best Ball leagues on DraftKings, Underdog, and Drafters. While the below projections will give you a good idea of who to target in Best Ball setups, they should not be used as rankings. With Best Ball leagues running into April, players on non-playoff teams should be drafted below their projected per-game output.
As is the case with all points leagues, durability should be prioritized, especially after the early rounds. With the difference between players’ per-game output being smaller in points leagues than in category leagues, it doesn’t make sense to target players who are long shots to play 65 games. The 50th-ranked player will only average about three more points per game than the 75th-ranked player. If the 75th-ranked player plays even five more games than the 50th-ranked player, they will outscore the 50th-ranked player by close to 150 points over the course of the season.
Upside should be prioritized when deciding between your late-round options. With Best Ball tournaments consisting of thousands of participants, it will be impossible to win unless you hit a home run or two in the later rounds.
