23/24 Boxing Day Box Score Analysis (9 Games)
Ausar Thompson (Drop): At this point, he can’t be stashed in H2H leagues unless you play in a very deep league. In 12- and 14-team leagues, having Ausar on your roster is like playing a man down. Things might get better when (if?) the Pistons finally get their win, but probably not significantly better. Thompson hasn’t been the same player since Monty started messing around with his minutes and there have been no signs that major minutes are just a few games away. The fifth-overall pick, who was looking like the second-best rookie in his draft class before Williams decided to start limiting him, has hit the 30-minute mark only twice since November 24th. Since then, he’s been just a borderline top-250 option with averages of 7.7 PPG on 47.9 FG%, 0.3 3PG, 4.9 RPG, 1.3 APG, 0.7 SPG, and 0.4 BPG.
